The Digital Archive

The Philander Smith University Digital Archive was established in March 2016 to provide online access to the unique archival holdings of the D. W. Reynolds Library and to promote the scholarship, accomplishments and history of the institution.

The digitizing process is ongoing with the goal of digitizing the most significant and frequently requested documents, images and texts of the university. Digitizing these valuable items will aid researchers in learning more about the history of Philander Smith University, and it will also help limit handling of the most fragile artifacts in the collection to ensure the preservation of these objects.
