Description

The Georg G. Iggers papers consists of photocopies of correspondence, reports and articles collected by former PSC faculty member, Dr. Georg G. Iggers, from around 1950-2004. Dr. Iggers and his wife Dr. Wilma Iggers were associate professors at Philander Smith College from 1950-1957. The collection includes papers written about Dr. Iggers' civil rights/NAACP activities in Little Rock Arkansas in the 1950's, documents that chronicle the development of the Title III program at PSC and the establishment of cooperative agreements between the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, as well as letters that detail the Iggers' decades long relationship with Philander Smith College.
