Budlong Hall, Old Main.

Description

Students posing on the steps of the side entrance to Budlong Hall. The the main campus building was partially completed and dedicated in 1883 (Gibson, 1972). Budlong Hall was the first brick building on the campus of Philander Smith College and housed classrooms, a library, various offices and dormitory housing for male students. PSC students provided labor to erect the structure. Originally located at 1015 Izard Street. The building was demolished in 1963.
